Brazilian singer and guitarist, LUIZ MEIRA, 53 years-old, was born in the beautiful city of Florianopolis.

He started his professional life at 16 years-old performing in bars and clubs around town. He started learning the guitar when he was a child and immediately fell in love with brazilian popular music. Nowadays he is considered one of the best guitarist in the country.

He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1991, where he lived for fourteen years. There he performed with renowned brazilian artists like Sá & Guarabyra, Beto Guedes, Sandra de Sá, Luiz Melodia, Maestro Paulo Moura, Elza Soares, Marcos Suzano, Arthur Maia, Leny Andrade among others.

Luiz Meira also performed along Gal Costa for 21 years in both national and international tours on the most famous stages around the world.

He also produced many brazilian and foreign artists albums besides two of his own: "Intuição" and "Te chamo felicidade". He produced his DVD recorded live in Florianopolis as well. Nowadays Luiz Meira travels around the world with his trio and is constantly invited to participate in several artists' concerts and recordings in Brazil and abroad.

BOROGODÓ, his third album, is a criterious work based on samba, bossa nova and brazilian instrumental music. The album is composed by twelve songs which expose this great brazilian artist's versatility.
